This Statewide Service is made available to all Wisconsin school districts through the CESA Statewide Network in partnership with the Department of Public Instruction. Google Apps for Education allows schools to give Google’s communication and collaboration applications to their entire education community for free.

The Department of Public Instruction has partnered with Wisconsin’s CESAs to offer professional development and technical deployment assistance trainings. Through a statewide agreement, districts have greater access to Google Apps for Education. All Wisconsin public, PK-12 schools and related public agencies are covered under the statewide agreement

Google Apps for Education offers two categories of Google services:
- Google Apps Core Services are Gmail, Calendar, Classroom, Contacts, Drive, Docs, Forms, Groups, Sheets, Sites, Slides, Talk/ Hangouts and Vault.
- Additional Services (like YouTube, Maps, and Blogger) are designed for consumer users and can optionally be used with Apps for Education accounts if allowed for educational purposes by a school’s domain administrator.
The Google Apps for Education Privacy Notice describes how Google collects and uses information with Google Apps for Education accounts. As stated in this Privacy Notice, for Apps for Education users in Primary/Secondary (K-12) schools, Google does not use any user personal information (or any information associated with a Google Account) to target ads.
