Available Position: Literacy Interventionist
Position Description: Marshall Public Schools is seeking a knowledgeable, experienced, and highly-trained reading professional to join our elementary literacy team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate knowledge of the Ten Features of the Partnerships in Comprehensive Literacy (PCL). Within the PCL model, the role of the Literacy Interventionist is to facilitate comprehensive and continuous school improvement by implementing the Comprehensive Intervention Model (CIM).
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The following duties are typical for this position, though they should not be construed as all-inclusive or exclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.
The Literacy Interventionist is trained to deliver and oversee Tier II and Tier III interventions in the school, as well as work closely with classroom teachers to monitor the transfer of strategic reading behaviors from the intervention to the classroom. A major responsibility of the Literacy Interventionist is to coordinate, monitor, and deliver to fidelity a menu of interventions that reflect individual student needs. The Literacy Interventionist works closely with the building Instructional Coach and Principal as part of an effective Comprehensive Literacy Model (CLM), which supports the alignment of interventions to classroom practice and development of standards-based curriculum.

Position Description: Marshall Public Schools is seeking a high school principal to provide instructional leadership, passion for continuous improvement through equity and racial justice, and a vision for increasing student achievement. The collaborative leader will communicate effectively with all stakeholders, foster high expectations for all, and care deeply for public education in Marshall. The instructional leaders will model ethics, integrity, and a love for public education in Marshall. Prior experience is preferred.
The desirable candidate will demonstrate effective leadership at the secondary level, including a strong understanding of the development of young adult learners.
